Comparative efficacy between premium and generic herbicide of glufosinate ammonium to control weed species in oil palm plantation

Abstract Weeds have always been a major pest in most plantation areas. Herbicides application is the preferable method modern technology. The aims of this study to compare effectiveness between premium and generic herbicides Glufosinate ammonium (GA) oil palm plantation. Seven treatments consisting Basta 15, Genee Fosinate 135, Bufos Kenbast Tarang with Miracle, without Miracle control. efficacy comparison was recorded at 7, 14, 28, 56 days after treatment (DAT) herbicides. Data on weed injury scorching were compared through visual assessment analyzed SAS software. Asystasia gangetica, Ageratum conyzoides, Paspalum scrobiculatum, Momordica charantia, Eleusine indica found as dominant species recorded, quadrate sampling experimental area. 15 showed similar result surpass other caused approximately 90% injury. Result from indicated performed consistently against general whereas applied portrayed inconsistent outcome study.
